We said we’d never foster.

Ha! Funny how we say stuff like that and we end doing that exact thing! After being married since 2010 and having 2 kids, we began pursuing adopting in the spring of 2019. After a month or so, we learned of the severe need for foster families and we changed the plan.

Our hearts had been softened and later that year we had our first placement. In a heart-breaking turn of events, that baby boy left but months later, we got a 2 year old and baby who we adopted in 2022.

When we began all of this, we felt we had the home, abilities and capacity to open our home to a child, so we did. In just the same way, in 2022, we felt we had the marriage unity and success to share with other couples on the fostering and adoption journey. Thus, the Fostering Marriage podcast and coaching began.
